Project Midstate Student Support (MSS) for Teaching partners with the University of Illinois at Springfield and local school districts to help inform high achieving students about the benefits of teaching and to facilitate a seamless progression for students from one level of higher education to another—ultimately graduation and licensure.
At the conclusion of this preparation, participants are required to apply for a teaching position with the Springfield District 186 or Decatur District 61.
