Spring 2012 English Award Winners

The University of Illinois Springfield English Department is proud to announce the students honored with departmental awards!

Congratulations to Erik Igoe for his essay, “Eveline’s Frank”, winner of the Marylin Ostrowski Memorial Graduate Award.

Congratulations to Kevin Tasker for “To Bow to the Rod of Glory” and to Timothy McDermott for “Conflicting Sexuality in ‘Goodbye, My Brother,'” dual winners of the Marylin Ostrowski Memorial Undergraduate Award.

Congratulations to Sarah Collins winner of the Razak Dahmane Award for Finest Masters Thesis, “The Face of Disability: Humanizing Effects of Autographics on the Physically and Mentally Impaired.” Sarah also won the Roese Memorial Scholarship.

Congratulations to Lacey Frye, winner of the Rosie Richmond Scholarship for female creative writers.

Thanks go out all those who submitted and to the English Awards Committee.

The Awards Committee will begin accepting submissions for the 2013 awards in the Spring of 2013!
