2012

First Year Writing Awards

We had strong competition this year for our 3 categories of Best Essay, Most Improved Writer, and Best Portfolio. (Alas, we can only hand out one award per category!)

This year’s winner for Best Essay is Taylor Jokish with her 102 Argument essay: “Need for Speed.”

Our Most Improved Writer Award goes to Jeff Karmatzis for his course work in English 101 in the Fall of 2011.

And finally, our last award, Best Portfolio, goes to Sshillisa Williams for her 101 portfolio from the Fall of 2011.

The English Awards committee commends all of our finalists and runners-up for their strong entries in this competition.
