The University of Illinois has purchased an extended site-license of McAfee, allowing for the installation enterprise-grade antivirus protection to be installed on both university provided machines and personally owned machinesl.
VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 offers scalable protection, fast performance, protecting users from: viruses, worms, Trojan horses, access point violations, buffer overflows, and potentially unwanted code and programs. New features include enhanced performance, full integration of the AntiSpyware Enterprise Module, and full support for Office 2010 and Lotus Notes 8.0x through 8.51.
