Overview
UIS faculty, staff, and students have access to state-of-the-art computing facilities, including our open access computer lab in the University Hall Building [UHB 2000] and the multimedia lab on the first level of Brookens Library, Media Lab [BRK 180). Color and black/white prints may be purchased at these locations using your iCard (cash is also accepted in the Media Lab, BRK 180).
UHB 2000 [19 workstations]
This is a general access computer lab with 14 Intel Core 2 Duo Dells with CD-RW/DVD drives, five Intel iMac computers, and black and white and color laser printers .

Media Lab, BRK 180 [17 workstations]
The Multimedia Lab in BRK 180 is a specialized lab of seventeen computer graphics, digital video and audio production. In addition to common software for word processing, spreadsheet, and presentations, you have a variety of computer hardware and software suited for developing almost every type of multimedia project. Equipment such as scanners, CD and DVD burners, digital slide scanners, analog/digital video converters, printers, and TV/DVD/VCR players are available for use. The lab contains a digital editing suite [or eSuite] for audio production, adding voice-overs, and capturing/mixing audio in a studio environment.
