Advising Workshops: What to Expect

Immediately after Spring Break we will present the summer/fall 2012 Advising Workshops. Hopefully you have already registered for one. If not, please view the dates, times, and registration instructions here and get that done today.

The Advising Workshops are not to be feared or dreaded. They aren’t boring lectures about the curriculum or requirements led by old people like me. They are led by fellow students, our peer advisors, and their purpose is to draft your summer/fall 2012 schedule. You will look at your own DARS report with them and look at the spring/fall 2012 classes. Then, with help, you will create a draft version of your summer and or fall schedule. The entire workshop is hands on and tailored towards your unique needs.

The next step after participating in an Advising Workshop is meeting with your Academic Advisor to check over the draft schedule you have made. You will then be cleared to register for classes at the time of your time ticket in April.

Now that you know that the advising workshops are going to be useful and interesting, don’t you want to book yours today?
