This morning the ICCN experienced a fiber cut on the connection between the UIC campus and 600 S. Federal. This cut resulted in a segmentation of the ICCN optical ring. At this point we are not aware of any interruptions in service however the resiliency of the ICCN has been compromised. ICCN Engineers are working to resolve the problem. At this point we do not have an estimate for the resolution of this problem. Additional updates will be sent as they become available.
