Update: 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 26th:
This afternoon, a second simultaneous hard drive failed in this server, resulting in the server’s volumes becoming permanently unusable. Since this is one of three Exchange 2010 servers that are fully redundant, access to Exchange mailboxes is unaffected.
Brian is going to rebuild this server over the next week or so using a blade server and SAN storage, which should provide a higher level of fault tolerance and performance.
Update – 4:00pm Monday:
We have determined the problem and were able to work with Dell Support to get the server back up and running. Parts are necessary to repair the issue, which should arrive tomorrow.
uismail10 has unexpectedly went down. No mail services are affected at this point. Will investigate and hopefully remedy the situation tomorrow.
