Camtasia Relay Upgrade
Monday, January 7: Camtasia Relay Upgrade
Camtasia Relay will be unavailable on Monday, January 7 from 7am – Noon.
This scheduled upgrade does NOT include major differences in the way Relay looks and functions. However, it does provide us with improved performance and functionality including notifications when audio is lost during the recording, the ability to record videos with no audio, and Windows 8 support.
To take advantage of the new features, users will need to re-install Relay from https://uiscamtasiar.uis.edu.
If you have any questions, please contact Kara McElwrath
The UIS netid maintenance application https://www-s.uis.edu/netid/servlet/NetId is currently down.
We are working with AITS to resolve the problem.

Subject: Certificate Issue with LDAP/Messaging Connections
Our certificates on LDAP servers (ldap.admin.uillinois.edu) expired this morning causing issues with EAS communicating with the LDAP. We have generated and installed new certificates and believe that all connection issues have been resolved, but would like you to confirm that external messaging applications are functioning properly as well. Please restart your messaging applications as soon as possible (to get new broker connections via LDAP) to confirm that the new certificate is working properly for your applications.
Once you restart, please send us a confirmation that everything looks good on your end. If you do encounter any issues with your applications restarting or connecting let us know and we will work you to resolve any issues.

Users trying to create a new Box account (https://box-signup.uillinois.edu/) get this error:
opensaml::FatalProfileException at (https://box-signup.uillinois.edu/Shibboleth.sso/SAML2/POST)
Your client’s current address (188.8.131.52) differs from the one used when you authenticated to your identity provider. To correct this problem, you may need to bypass a proxy server. Please contact your local support staff or help desk for assistance.
This issue began on Monday 11/26. The workaround is to create the Box account from a connection outside the UIS network.

This looks to be fixed now. Web Services had pushed out some changes today. This should be fixed now. It was an issue with any List Builder that had more than one component. The first component was always ok but the second and greater were blank.
Thanks all, Todd

The Blackboard front page is currently not displaying correctly. Blackboard, however, still functions correctly. This issue is only on the front page. After you log in to Blackboard, it looks and works normally.
The Blackboard front page is an https resource which utilizes a stylesheet file from the www.uis.edu server. It’s certificate expired this past Saturday. We have submitted a certificate signing request and when we receive the certificate this will no longer be an issue.
Box has been available to faculty and staff and is now available for students. New users need to go to http://go.uis.edu/box and click on the Box Sign up page link.
