About the Author

Gary W. Reinbold is an Associate Professor in the College of Public Affairs and Administration and a Faculty Associate in the Center for State Policy and Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield. He conducts research on U.S. social policy and teaches courses in statistics, program evaluation, U.S. social policy, and international poverty and development. Prior to his current position, he practiced law at the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services and the international law firm of Mayer Brown. He has a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University, a J.D. from the University of Michigan, a M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University.
