Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break, fellow students. Finals are just around the corner. Below are some tips to help you get through them:

  1. Go To Your Finals- Finals are a big percentage of your grade.
  2. STUDY- Finals cover a lot of materials and there’s a chance that you’ll have more than one final in a day.
  3. Check When Your Finals Are- Finals aren’t always when class regularly meets. Check out the UIS home page for the Finals Schedule.
  4. Don’t Stay Up All Night Unless You Set Your Alarm- Setting your alarm will guarantee you’ll get up on time for your exam. Chances are you’ll be so tired from staying up, that you’ll sleep right through your exam if you don’t set your alarm.
  5. Join Study Groups!– You’re more apt to study if you’re with a group.
  6. Go To Professor’s Office Hours- Don’t understand something? Go to your Professor’s Office Hours. They’re in their office for that reason.
  7. Don’t Wait Last Minute!– Don’t wait until an hour before the final to study, because chances are there’s more material that you need to study then you can fit in to that time.
