Update: Dec 05, 2012 @ 3:30 pm
The fixes implemented thus far to address the issue with Apple AirPrint have not yet proved to be reliable. It was also reported today that AirPlay is not working reliably either, and that the issue with Box account creation might be related to the wireless network change.
Discussions are ongoing regarding where to go from here: do we (a) stick with the current wireless network configuration and continue to try to resolve the issues that have presented themselves or (b) revert back to the old configuration and hope for the best. If you have an opinion, I would appreciate hearing from you directly via e-mail.
Thank you.

The configuration changes to the wireless network seem to be accomplishing the goal of reducing congestion-related performance issues. One issue we encountered last night is that we exceed the maximum number of wireless devices on the network that we had previously estimated, so some devices weren’t able to get on the network. This morning, Kevin has doubled the total number of available addresses from about 1750 to 3500, which should take care of this issue for the foreseeable future.
There remains an issue with Apple Airprint not working. Kevin and Tulio are working to find the best configuration to use with the new wireless configuration and hope to have this issue resolved soon.
If you are aware of any other issues not mentioned above, please contact Jamie, Kevin or Scott to make them aware.
Thanks!
Curtis
The Wireless network has been reconfigured, and is working as anticipated.
We are able to see the classroom airserver stations, which are active; many are shut down for the break. Kara would you or Jeff please test a couple of the classroom locations and Tulio can you have someone test the airprint.
We will need to wait for the students to return to see if the congestion we were experiencing on the wireless has been reduced.
Thanks to Kevin for making this painless for the rest of us.
