The remaining Exchange 2003 employee mailboxes will be migrated to Exchange 2010 during the weekly maintenance window on 8/4/11. The employees to be moved were notified last week that this was taking place.
Several servers cannot be accessed at this time. The server that will impact users is uismail7. There are student emailboxes on that server.
The Barraccuda Spam/Virus firewall experienced some problems this morning with mail queues backing up. It was rebooted and an issue reconnecting to the network. It is now connected and running and all email is flowing correctly. Barracuda Support will be monitoring it from offsite to see if there are any further issues.
Today, Friday the 14th, we will be doing email server, edocs and web server Microsoft updates. Users will have no access while the servers reboot.
EL Pruitt will begin work on the vibration isolators for the AC
equipment on Monday the 20th. The AC will remain on while the
isolators are installed so there should no impact to servers. There
will be limited access to the KVM switches in 127.
Microsoft updates will be done in production during the holiday break. Specific dates have not been decided yet.
