Automatic IMAP Configuration For Thunderbird

The Network Services team have configured our external facing email systems to allow very easy automatic configuration of the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client. All an off-campus user has to do is install the client and enter their e-mail address and password into Thunderbird, then Thunderbird will retrieve the rest of the configuration information directly from our servers, including the settings for secure authentication.

Updated documentation about all IMAP support for Exchange 2010 is being developed and will be put on our web pages when completed. My special thanks to Chris Mueller and Brian Truter for setting this up.
