Changes to Dell iSCSI Switches Tomorrow Morning

UPDATE: Dec 8, 2011 @ 6:55

The configuration work on the Dell iSCSI switches is mostly completed with no service disruption. A few settings changes will be applied later, but should not have any impact on operations of the SAN or servers.

We have been working with Dell support to troubleshoot an issue with the new Camtasia Relay server. We’ve made several changes that have stabilized things pretty well. However, we’ve noticed that there are still a few iSCSI network settings that did not get set according to Dell’s published best-practices document when the system was installed last summer. So tomorrow morning during the regular maintenance window, I will apply those settings. These changes should not have any detrimental impact to the operation of the SAN or the servers and applications that communicate with it. All work should be completed within the maintenance window time frame.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
